When Is Dialogue Useful?

My answer:

In a dialogue between people, we should look for any truth in the dialogue itself, not in one person or another.  The quality of truth to be found though, depends on the people involved: whether they together are strong enough to be honest, humble enough to listen, and intelligent enough to be clear. If one person has power over the others, the truth is less likely to be found.
