| The Alberta Federation of Labour
is Alberta’s oldest and largest labour central. Currently, the Federation
represents nearly 100,000 Alberta union members from approximately 40 unions
and 250 locals.
The Federation's mandate is established by democratic vote at its biennial
convention. Between conventions, the AFL is governed by the Federation’s
Executive Committee and Council.
The Executive Committee and Council are made up of representative chosen by
unions affiliated to the AFL. The current council – selected at the
Federation’s 2001 convention – is listed below. |
