Audrey Cormack, president of the Alberta Federation of Labour, will be available for comment after the provincial government introduces its annual budget tomorrow afternoon.

"Like most Albertans, we in the labour movement are very interested about what might be included in the budget," says Cormack. "In particular, we'll be looking to see if the government's booming budget surpluses are finally going to translate into improved services for Albertans and increased earnings for public-sector workers."

"We'll also be looking to see if the budget includes any large tax breaks that might reduce revenue and undermine the government's ability to provide high-quality services."

The budget will be introduced in the Legislature tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m.
