Labour leader available for comment after Premier's address

Audrey Cormack, president of the Alberta Federation of Labour, will be available for comment after Premier Ralph Klein makes his televised address to the province this evening.

"Like most Albertans, people in the labour movement are very interested in what the Premier might have to say tonight," says Cormack. "In particular, we'll be looking to see if the government's booming budget surpluses are finally going to translate into improved services for Albertans and increased earnings for public-sector workers."

Klein's speech will be aired between 6:45 and 7:00 p.m. this evening. Cormack can be reached after the speech at her hotel in Calgary or on her cell phone. Any reporters interested in conducting face-to-face interviews should contact the AFL Communications Department in Edmonton to make arrangements.
