Labour leader available for comment after Throne Speech

EDMONTON -- Audrey Cormack, president of the Alberta Federation of Labour, will be available for comment after the provincial government's Speech from the Throne this afternoon.

"Premier Klein has already tipped his hand about what we can expect from his government over the next three years," says Cormack. "But we'll be interested to see if the government goes any further. In particular, we're hoping that the government will address several issues that are on the minds of our members -- like pay raises for public servants, continued underfunding of core services and changes to the minimum wage."

The Throne Speech will be read in the Legislature starting at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon. Cormack will be available to talk to reporters afterwards in the Legislature's Rotunda.
