1. REGULAR MEETINGS
General meetings are held each month on the third Wednesday at noon, featuring lunch and a variety of speakers on topics of concern to local business.

MasterCard Merchant Discount Rate. Preferred electronic merchant discount rates of 1.80%** and an Interac fee of 15 cents for each debit transaction (**dependent on ticket size). ATB Financial is proud to introduce the Alberta Business Card that allows you to save money, be in control, have unsurpassed account access and other great benefits.
Visa Merchant Discount Rate. Discount rates of 1.80% for electronic deposits and 12 cents per debit transaction. TD Canada Trust also offers other banking services for your business, yourself and your employees.

Petro-Canada Discount Program. Realize significant savings, convenience, control and security. Budget Rent a Car is offering reduced rates on cars and trucks. These corporate rates are available by presenting an identification credential. The Budget credential is honoured worldwide and the rates include unlimited kilometers/mileage at all participating locations.

4. BUSINESS PROMOTION
We offer networking opportunities at meetings and other events and programs designed to promote local business and shop local promotions such as the annual Home and Garden Fair and the Member's Directory on our web site.
5. COMMITTEE PARTICIPATION
The Chamber is run by volunteers providing the opportunity for members to participate in the work and accomplishments of the Chamber.
6. A VOICE FOR THE BUSINESS OWNER
Through our membership in the Alberta Chamber, we are represented in the policy making process for representations to provincial and federal governments to enhance the environment in which business is conducted in Alberta.

Each month your Chamber reserves a full page in the local newspaper to promote Chamber events and members' businesses. Members' advertisements appear on this page at very reasonable rates.
8. PROMOTION OF NEW BUSINESS
The Chamber is often the first to receive questions about owning and operating a new business in Airdrie. We provide an information package in response to these requests and ensure that adequate answers and referrals to other sources are given to all such requests.
9. A VOICE TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT
As the main representative of local business, the Chamber makes representations to City Council on issues of local concern and can often influence policy making decisions that affect members.
