Asteroid Occultation near Edmonton

NOTE as of Oct 21, there are no volunteers for the fence pickets!

Saturday evening, October 25-26 22:55 MDT
Special note: the central line is predicted to pass through Prince George. Wayne Sanders is using this event to demonstrate to fellow RASCals how it's done. Since the path uncertainty is high there is a chance that it can shift over Edmonton, so it is worth a group effort try from here. If we set up 3 stations in between, to make sure the asteroid does not slip between us, we increase the chance of bagging this asteroid to better than 40%, up from 10% if there only two fence wickets.

Event time: 4h55m20s Alt 24 Az 148

Overview:
overview Edmonton is 103km south of the central line.

At our latitude, the nominal path width is 33km, so to be safe, if we set up a picket fence every 28km, we need 4 stations between Edmonton and Prince George:
fence
Station 1: The deck
Station 2: just north St Albert
Station 3: Legal
Station 4: about 10km north of Westlock or Clyde
Station 5: Mike Hoskinson at Hastings Lake? A perfect 26 km south of the deck, relative to the path.

Alister has a dinner to put on, so will be recording from the backyard. Looking for 3 others. Please let me know!
