Lunarcal Lite version
Obviously a Lite version will not be as fully functional as the registered version. Here are some of the limitations:
- Time: you can only go forward or back one month around the current date. This affects libration, colongitude, and crescent searches.
- Resolution: the Lite version downloaded from the website without the CD-ROM comes with a Clementine image and USGS shaded relief map of 3.0 km or 1.8 mi per pixel.
- Craters: the Lite version will plot craters only as small as 3.0 km or 1.8 mi in diameter
- The 2000x1000 pixel USGS texture "shaded relief" map is well suited for the casual observer, while the registered version contains the map that goes down to 0.5km/pixel, matching the resolution of the Clementine imagery.
If you choose not to register Lunar Calculator, I hope you still enjoy what it can show you.
