To get to the libration graph, you can click on the "speed button" just below the menu bar:
and click on
or click Ctrl-L or under the Utility menu.

The graph on the left is a simple sketch of what the libration is doing this month. When the line is solid, it means that the limb rotated towards us is indeed in sunlight. When it is dashed, it means it is in darkness, and therefore we do not benefit from the better view.
On the right we can access additional details, such as the date for any particular point. It also shows at what point in the libration cycle the full Moon occurs. Some observers like to know this.
You can advance/reverse the graph one month at a time, or animate continuously forward or backward. You can also control the animation speed by using the slider bar (Lite users can only go back and forth 1 month).
