Animation

Chances are you will want to animate the images produced by Lunar Calculator. Simply click on the "Animate" menu item, and a new panel will appear at the middle left:

NOTE: If you have a large realistic image, animation will likely be too slow for you to get a nice effect. Reduce the image size, and/or switch to "wire" view.

When the animation panel appears, the "forward animate" button has the focus, so you can start by hitting the Enter key instead of moving your mouse over and clicking on it.

You can enter any animation interval you wish directly in the box, and it will be interpreted in decimal days (do not use a comma , for the decimal separator). For your convenience, a button for 1 hour and one lunar month will enter the value in days for you.

To stop the animation, click the middle stop button: The animation will also stop when it reaches the loop limit.

To hide/exit the animation panel, click on the red "no" symbol:

Click for a pre-made movie of 1 day interval animation.

If you wish to save each image during the animation, just check the box. Under options, you can specify (a bit) what the filename will look like. You can choose a prefix too. For example you can have:

lc00001.jpg for increment style,

calen20050101.jpg for date/time style.

Lunarcal Lite

Lite users can only look back or forward 1 month.
