BIOGRAPHY: Owned a Bible that had all his family history and details
in it.
The pages were colored and had sheets of tissue paper between the sheets.Possibly
born in Staffordshire. Burial plot purchased 16 May 1899 by someone
at Hessel Street Weaste. Marriage to Jane Humphreys (Nee Ball) witnessed
by William and Hannah Appleby. Marriage certificate showed William Johnson
as being a Labourer.
Recorded in the 1871 Census as living at: 5 Paradise Vale Terrece, Greengate, Manchester.
Recorded in the 1881 Census as living at: 14 West Peel Street. Public Records Office Reference No. 3970 58 34.

Appears to have been illiterate, signed her marriage papers with an
"X".Had a previous marriage to a Humphreys. Witnesses at her's and Williams
wedding were a William and Hannah Appleby. Recorded in the 1871 Census
as living at: 5 Paradise Vale Terrace, Greengate, Manchester. In July
of 1870 her address given as 12 Gaythorn Street, Salford.
