MARRIAGE: 26 May 1928, Henry Scahill married Maud Johnson at Saint Stephens Church, Salford. Marriage performed by the Rector Thomas Cresswell. Both are aged 24. Henry Scahill's profession is shown as Bleacher, which probably means Plasterer. There is no profession shown for Maud. Residence at the time of marriage is 58 Rosamond Street. The marriage number on the certificate is 436 and the Certified Copy of an Entry of Marriage number is D 1517-15. Witnesses were: Albert Edward Johnson and Lily Scahill.

BIOGRAPHY: Worked as a Plasterer and Brick-layer. Made his own brickHods, in which he used to carry me (Allan Scahill). Burial plot purchased by Mary A Johnston (Mother-In-Law) of 58 Rosamond Street Salford. My Dad is said to have been a practising Catholic and said the Rosery when my brother Harry died. As reported by his wife Maud.

BIRTH: 3 Marsden Street, Salford, Lancashire. This is according to acertified copy of an Entry of Birth for the Sub-District of Greengate,Salford.
The number of the original is 402, and the date on it is 20 February1917. This is when Maud was 14 years of age and required it to startwork. The certificate is dual purpose. On one side is the Entry of Birth, and the other is a Schedule of the Factory And Workshop Act, 1901.Maud must have required this for proof of being old enough to work. The address Maud was living at the time is shown as 58 Rosamond Street, Salford. The Registrar is shown as Joseph Roberts.

BIOGRAPHY: Worked at Luvells (spelling?) Choclate Factory, putting thefancy designs on the choclates. My mum told how on her first day at the factory, she was allowed to eat as much choclate as she liked. After two days, she was sick of it and could not eat any more.

BIOGRAPHY: On mothers wedding day she started her periods in church, got drunk on port wine, put into bed with her mother, dad blind drunk got into bed with all his clothes on, mums mother still in bed, also aunt Emily and uncle Jim had sex in same bed while my mum, dad and grandmother were there. As told to me by my mother, Maud Scahill.
In 1947 Maud received a letter dated 25 February 1947 from TheSuperheater Company Ltd. of Mosley Road, Trafford Park, Manchester,informing her of a successful application for a job in the company canteen as a cook. The job was part time, hours 10 AM until 4 PM. Rateof pay 1 Shilling and 3 Pence per hour.
The letter was incorrectly addressed to Mrs. Seakill.
Maud gave up smoking in 1978 at age 75.

Arthur is aged 61, Maud is aged 59. Arthur'sprofession is shown as General Hand - Paper Mill. There is no profession shown for Maud. Arthur's address is shown as 5 Queens Mead Estate, Loudwater, Wycombe. Maud's address is shown as 67 Castle Way, Clifton, Manchester. The marriage number on the certificate is 135 and the Certified Copy of an Entry of Marriage number is WE 767749. Witnesses were: Brian Scahill and P. Goff.

MARRIAGE: On the 15 May 1975 this marriage was dissolved and became final and absolute on the 17 July 1975. The certificate is from theCourt Office at Fleece Street, Rochdale. Signed by Joseph Parry and A.M.Verity - Registrars. Certificate number 75 D 0073

MEDICAL: Invoice number 062550/S, Dated: 7 July, 1994 for a "Single Cataract Including Implant" performed on Thursday 30 June, 1994. Cost: £1,400.00. At Beaumont Hospital, Bolton, Lancashire, England.

DEATH: Died at Hope Hospital, Salford. April 18th 1996.

CAUSE OF DEATH: i) Congestive cardiac failure, ii) Ischaemic heartdisease, iii) Cerebrovascular disease. Certified Copy Of An Entry signed by Vera F.M. Prince - Registrar. Certificate number IAK 421242.Certificate of Registration Of Death signed by the same person.Certificate number ZW 769650.

BURIAL: Cremated at Overdale Crematorium on Chorley Old Road, Bolton on24 April 1996 at 1:30 PM.

Service was conducted by Rev. A.E. Ballard.

Julie Hayes nee Scahill, Maud's granddaughter, read from a letter written by he rsister, Jackie Townshend. The letter was written 16 April 1996, prior to Maud's death and was in the form of a book, with six chapters. Jackie was unable to attend the funeral as she was living in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. The Order of Service was created by Maud's granddaughter, Elaine Rogers nee Scahill, on her computer. Funeral Directors were: Laithwaites of 139 Manchester Road East, Little Hulton.Certificate of Disposal from Overdale Crematorium dated 24 April, 1996.Certificate number 147812

BURIAL: Maud was buried on 29 April 1996 at Weaste Cemetery along with the ashes of her daughter Audrey Robinson nee Scahill. The plot number is 872N. Her son's, Brian and Allan Scahill along with Debra Martini nee Robinson, Audrey's daughter, dug a small hole in the family grave approximately 18" deep by 12" square and placed both the ashes of Maud and Audrey in the hole and intermixed them. It was Audrey's wish to beburied with her father when she died. To mark the grave, which had no headstone, a small square stone block was then placed on top of the area they had dug up. The square stone block is 7" x 7" x 7". It was purchased from A. Brammall of 562 Manchester Road, Bolton. Cost: £45.35 Pence. The name engraved on the marker says SCAHILL and on the back side is the plot number, 872N.

Married twice - Once to James Shilleto, they had four children.
James Shilleto died of Cancer.
Second marriage to Jack Midgely - they had a son named Jack (John?) whodied in a car at age 21.

Died of cancer - Do not know when or where he is buried - Date of death is a guess so other marriage of Isabella can be input in the program.

Died at work aged about 43. Collasped at the end of his night shift at the top of a set of stairs.
