Merry Christmas to family and friends
Well another year has come and gone. This year held some memorable moments for Gloria and myself.
April saw me in hospital, coming out a week later minus my appendix. The doctor told me I have diverticulitis and the appendix was removed because of it.
On May 15th we held a party for family and friends to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. It was held in the social club room of a local ice hockey rink. The date of our anniversary was May 18th. There were about 70 family and friends who attended. Members of the family, who supplied music and skits about Gloria and myself, provided the entertainment. A great deal of fun was has by all.
We spent the month of July in Ireland. We vacationed with friends of ours who also celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary this year. Gloria, Brenda Bill and myself spent a few days in the home of my grandfather, Westport, County Mayo. We then went to Killarney in County Kerry where we had booked a thatched cottage for a week. During our stay here we managed to see a good deal of the area and Gloria and Brenda visited every shop in Kerry… The next two weeks were spent in various B&B’s all along the south coast of Ireland. Needless to say I brought along my golf clubs and managed to golf at quite a few famous courses. No holes-in-one this year…
