"Pastoral Care"
Manning Deadwood Shared Ministry seeks to demonstrate its interest and concern for over 91 households under its pastoral care. The minister is available for pastoral care to persons seeking counsel, experiencing grief, illness, distress, transition or loneliness.
He visits at the hospital and Del Air Lodge for seniors. Please notify the office, if you know someone is in hospital.
Communion at Home: is available to church members unable to attend Sunday worship. If you wish to request home communion for yourself a family member or a friend, please call the church.
Pastoral Care Visitors: A number of lay members visit in hospital and the Senior's lodge.
Hospitality People: We are all called to make newcomers and guests feel welcome. Some of us have a special gift for hospitality and they are seen greeting at the door, serving at potlucks and generally helping others.
Worship and Prayer
Manning Deadwood Shared Ministry endeavours to provide for worship services including the administration of the sacraments of both the United and Anglican denominations.
Wherever two or three are gathered, we are called to: worship God; remember Jesus' birth, life, death, resurrection; and to go out into the world walking in the way of Christ and sharing the Good News with those we meet.
Our worship services model a community of The Whole People of God where we are all teachers and learners, in full participation in the ministry of Christ. We are a caring comunity and pray each week for our friends, family, the church, and the world.
Prayer concerns can be added to our prayer list through the minister or through the office assistant Monday mornings (780-836-3757).
