Distilled witch hazel and mineralized wheat germ oil provide an energetic combination to safely remove makeup, while providing nourishing care for stressed skin and re-condition the skin's pH. Most cleansers leave a tight skin feel due to the use of alcohol. We use distilled witch hazel as a cleanser. The addition of expeller-pressed wheat germ oil and calendula add caring components to this fabulous product. Our toner & cleanser is suitable for all skin types. Witch hazel is a small shrub that offers big value as an efficacious herbal extract with exceptional cleansing, soothing, and healing properties. Native Americans, who used witch hazel bark and twigs in many therapeutic applications, passed on their knowledge to early settlers. The settlers subsequently refined the process for extracting essential oils from the pulp material through a distillation process, producing the clear, all-natural liquid astringent that offers such outstanding benefits for gentle and effective skin care applications .
