There is a lot of information and literature on natural healing and homeopathic medicine available in all media accessible to the general public. Maybe too much and too little structured while searching for specific topics and credible, objective answers.

We made an attempt to bring some sort of order to the house of natural medicine. In our library you can find a brief description of holistic medicine and how it compares to conventional medicine. On our page 'Useful health links and information sources on the web' you will find information which we believe are both, credible and informative. For the specific content of these sources and publications however, we cannot take any responsibility as common sense suggests. 

Further, we have listed all health concerns separately where Biovera is in position to offer treatment support (go to Dr. Mistry's Natural Therapies). Again, we would like to point out that none of our products replace a consultation with a physician. Remember: Self diagnosis is dangerous and taking advise from the medical profession is always the better choice.  

Consultations with naturopathic and homeopathic doctors is currently not covered by government-sponsored health plans. Private health plans do sometimes cover consultation fees but do usually not pay for recommended remedies and therapies.

Our opinion: Make an informed choice! If you are unsatisfied with our conventional 'school' medicine, it certainly does not harm to obtain a second opinion from a certified physician who practices his trade outside the conventional health care system. According to an Angus Reid poll from May 2003, 73 % of Canadians are buying natural health products and most of them are loyal supporters of 'the other' health care choice available to all of us.

Our advise: If you consult a TCM (traditional Chinese medicine), naturopathic or homeopathic physician, make sure to check his/ her credentials and certification. The industry is very vaguely regulated and uniform standards are not yet established.
