It was a great day to celebrate Canada's birthday with
neighbours and friends. About 1000 people enjoyed the fun, entertainment and
activities throughout the day.

We had two bouncy castles
for different ages. Our Monster Wheels bounce was for toddlers to age 8. Those
age 9 to Adult (yes, ADULT!) tried out our huge Bouncy Castle. Teens and
adults discovered that it was harder than they thought. Kids want to bounce
forever but some adults didn't even want to use up their entire 5 minute allotment because of exhaustion!
There was live entertainment throughout the day. Several kids joined in a Sing-Along at the start of the day. "The Magic of Henry" drew a very large crowd of kids and adults alike. Several bands including "3 Down, 2 To Go", "Naomi Sider" and "Pneuma" performed in a variety of musical styles. A square dance group had people tapping their feet and clapping along.
A huge thanks to the companies who donated over 30 wonderful prizes
and congratulations to those who won them:

Many families stayed for hours enjoying the free games and activities available. The games included Mini Golf, Plinko, a Nerf gun target game, a sand box, and the Freezie Toss; just to name a few. There was also an activity station with colouring pages, sidewalk chalk and bubbles. One unique station gave people the opportunity to see the Chinese version of their name written in traditional calligraphy. Add some food such as popcorn, candy floss, snow cones, hot dogs, Korean food and Papa Joe's pizza and the day couldn't have been better!
Special thanks to The Valley Bakery who baked the huge Canada Day cake this year. It was by far the best cake we have had. As usual, the Canadian flag design on the cake was carefully prepared by several dedicated ladies. It takes hours to prepare and only a few minutes to eat. Thanks to all those who work so hard to make Canada's birthday cake a masterpiece.
