I have tried to add notes of explanation to these Christmas programs to make them more user friendly, however, I may have missed a few points. You have my permission to change/modify/rewrite these plays in any way. Please let me know when you have used these plays in your church and what changes you made to work for you. If there is any problem with the play or you have any questions, please send an email to the church; Attention: Anessa Simpson.
The general concept of the play is to show Julia preparing for the her Christmas pageant and other Christmas preparations . Then we see the "actual" Christmas program which is like a play within a play. Finally, she has a moment to process what she will take out of this experience. This was one of the most successful plays in our church. We have done it twice (7 years apart) with many changes and alterations to suit the people we have. All files are in Word 97 format. This play looks at the Christmas traditions and songs of 6 different countries. The traditions in some of the countries are then tied into a pantomime of the Christmas story. The main message is the amazing gift that God gave us by sending his son. The play has an interesting way of incorporating the narrator into the various modern day and bible time skits/pantomimes. This is a very effective play for a multi-cultural church. All files are in Word 97 format. To save the file, right click on link and select "Save Target As". Play
