     In the 1881 British census Percy was listed as widowed so Anne died sometime between 1878 and 1881. She married Percy Colbeck Johnson Laws. Percy was her first cousin.. Annie was born at Tynemouth, Northumberland, England, on 26 February 1847. She was the daughter of Cuthbert Umfreville Laws and Catharine (Kate) Burnett. She was christened at Tynemouth, Northumberland, England, on 24 April 1850. Annie died circa 1878.

     He married Annie Laws. Percy was her first cousin.. Percy died. In the 1881 census he was listed as owner of Chiselways Farm, Chollerton, Northumberland, England, farming 800 acres and employing 6 men, 6 women and 2 boys. He was a widower with a 6 year old daughter and a 3 year old son. His aunt Sarah (57) and cousins Catherine (38) and Annie (28) were visiting. Also present were Margaret Burnett, 17 of Scotland, a domestic servant, Elizabeth Grey, 38 of Newcastle, Northmberland ,a cook and dairy maid, and Isabella Stokoe, 22 of Ovingham, a domestic nurse. Percy was born at Chollerton, Northumberland, England, circa 1851. He was the son of William Laws and Agnes Cart Gordon.

     In the 1881 census Annie was visiting her cousin Percy C.J. Laws. She was 28 and unmarried. Annie died. Annie was born at Bombay British Subject, India, circa 1853. She was the daughter of Henry Rogers and Dinah Eleanor Laws.

     Mark was born at Morpeth, Northumberland, England, on 10 January 1797. He was the son of Benjamin Spraggon and Elizabeth Reay. He married Maria Hare at Saint Bride Fleet St., London, Greater London, England, on 17 December 1851. Mark died on 17 July 1866 at age 69.

     An IGI record lists a Mary Hare christened Dec 19, 1821 at Saint Mary Magdalene, Richmond, Surrey, England. Parents were Alexander Hare and Mary. This is a likely match but unconfirmed. Maria was born in 1821. She was the daughter of ? Alexander Hare and ? Mary unknown. She married Mark Spraggon at Saint Bride Fleet St., London, Greater London, England, on 17 December 1851. As of 17 December 1851,her married name was Spraggon. Maria died in 1890.

     George died. George was born at Hexham, Northumberland, England, in 1852. He was the son of Mark Spraggon and Maria Hare. He married Georgina Cram.

     The 1881 census shows a Charlotte Spraggon visiting in the home of Benjamin Spraggon. She was 21 years old, which closely coincides with her listed birthdate. Her birth place was shown as Nafferton, Northumberland. Charlotte died. Charlotte was born at Hexham, Northumberland, England, in 1859. She was the daughter of Mark Spraggon and Maria Hare.

     Her married name was Byrt. Elizabeth was born at Weymouth, Dorset, England, circa 1848. She was the daughter of unknown Wotton and Elizabeth Wotton. She married Thomas Edward Byrt at Beaminster, Dorset, England, in December 1871.¹

     Christina was born at Montgomery Co., Viginia, USA, on 4 June 1784. She was the daughter of Lewis Milam and Mary (Molly) Holt. She married Daniel Day at Tazewell Co., Virginia, USA, on 11 September 1805. As of 11 September 1805,her married name was Day. Christina died on 5 February 1879 at Tazewell Co., Virginia, USA, at age 94.
