Oil Portraits / Page 1 / page 2 - competed on square, rectangular or oval stretched canvas from your clear photo(s). Sizes range from 8" x 10" to larger sizes, depending on subject and your personal preference. All pieces are sprayed on completion for protection.
Pastel Portraits - can be completed in combination oil pastel on suede mat board, or chalk pencil pastel on pastel/charcoal paper in a wide range of colour, depending on subject and your personal preference.
Pencil/Charcoal Portraits - can be done on smooth Bristol paper, or water colour paper blocks, depending on texture of subject and your personal preference.
Acrylic on Sliced Rock - done on smooth, sliced rock depending on colour of the subject and your personal preference, and protected with clear gloss finish, complete with standing frame. Size ranges from 2" x 3" to 5" diameter pieces.
Practice Pieces (Reproductions) - As with any skill, practice makes.....better! While I can't claim perfection, attempting to copy my favourite works of art have helped me to develop my skills, and discover the media that I prefer to work with. These pieces form part of my personal collections of work.
Limited Edition Print - "Autumn Palette" - As an avid Carl Brenders fan, I completed my first multi-media picture of variegated maple leaves from my backyard, and in 2002 was encouraged to reproduce this work for my first limited edition print. As a result, 270 copies of "Autumn Palette" were produced, with 20 Artist Proofs, and have been selling very well.
