What we provide for you

Our puppies are raised in our home around children and our own pets and are very well socialized to everyday living. They are temperament tested to ensure proper placement and character before the go to their new homes.

All puppies are vet-checked and have had their puppy vaccinations and worming. We believe in natural forms of treatment and every puppy will be raised on the highest quality food and given natural supplements to increase and sustain health. We encourage this kind of lifestyle in your home. We also encourage a limited vaccination schedule. Puppies are groomed regularly to ensure they are confident with the process for their future home.

We want to provide you with a puppy that has the potential to be a calm and loving personal and family companion dog in a variety of living circumstances. Our Goldens want to be a part of the lives of their people whether that involves the show ring or the country side. In short our puppies have great temperament.

Our Golden Retrievers conform to the breed standard as established by the Canadian Kennel Club. Although we do not endeavour to produce show champion quality Goldens we do believe it is important to preserve the time honoured physical qualities of the breed that would make our Goldens respectable representatives of the breed in any setting.

We begin the housetraining process by getting the pups familiar with inside life, and using the outside for their elimination. We also start them on crate training to help with future potty training at their new homes.

Each puppy will come with a “puppy packet” of information on training tips and other retriever information. We will provide you with a sample of the food they are on, as well as feeding tips and food we recommend. Please ask us for more information on this.

We screen all our breeding dogs to insure that they are free from the genetic conditions that have been known to affect Golden Retrievers. At Mountain Pine Canines we take pride in our service to you before and after you receive your puppy. We are here for any questions you may have at any time. Call us or email us. We love to hear how your new puppy is doing. We encourage all our new owners to keep in touch and let us know of any moves or changes they might have from time-to-time.

We strongly encourage the holistic approach to encourage a dog's own healthy immune system response. We say this because we are concerned dog lovers that only want to do what is best for our animals in order for them to live long, happy, healthy lives. We highly suggest that you do your own research and decide if a biologically appropriate fresh food diet (B.A.R.F.),a limited vaccination schedule and limited exposure to unnecessary toxins is right for your pets.

We sell our puppies with a limited spay/neuter registration. You can return any Mountain Pine Golden Retriever at any time for any reason throughout the life time of the Golden. When I breed a dog I make a lifetime commitment to the welfare of that dog.
