B.A.R.F. Diet

The B.A.R.F. Diet
(Bones And Raw Food or Biologically Appropriate Raw Food)

The idea of a fresh raw food diet is based on the natural dog or wolf in the wild.  What would it eat?  Most likely small game like birds and rodents.  These meals would consist of the whole thing.  You wouldn’t see a wolf or wild dog hunt down a stalk of corn or a hay bale.  But, that’s exactly what is in a commercial pet food.

Dogs are mainly carnivores (meat eaters).  Their bodies are not designed to digest grains.  There have been studies that link many cancers to the ingestion or grains.

Other scientific evidence shows a corresponding increase in health problems such as immune deficiency responses, hip dysplacia, allergies, cancer, and poor dental health with commercial based diets.  Other affects such as dull coats, weeping eyes, hot spots and large smelly stool are also produced by an inappropriate kibble bagged diet.
