Lets get started!
Initial contact
Now that you have made the important decision to free those pictures from the box take a look at the following information that will help to get you started. Contact me via e-mail with a simple summary of your requirements.
Organize your photographs for a scrapbook
The first step is to organize your photos into groups depending on the album. (wedding, baby's book, a year in review, travel, school days etc.), and the type of album (12x12, 8x8 mini etc) arrange all the photos you wish to have included in the album in the order you would like to see them. Once I have seen the photos I will decide how many pages will be required.
If you have printed photos put each group of photos in a zip lock bag including the date and any relevant information on a piece of scrap paper included in the bag (do not use post it notes or write on the photos themselves). It is not necessary to get down all the journaling you wish to have included at this point.
Digital photos can be e-mailed for burned onto a disk, but also need to be arranged into folders and in the order you wish. I can guide you through this process if you need help!
Send plenty of pictures, I will return those not used!
It is very likely that photos will be cropped and cut in many cases...please be sure to scan any photos that you want to keep an original uncut version of for your records!!
Purchase your album and page accessories
You can find scrapbook albums at your local scrapbooking store, Wal-mart etc. Ensure that you choose an album that is acid and lignin free. I can purchase the album for you as well if you are not sure what to pick up.
