Blog Sabbatical - But it's AGM time.
I realize that I haven't written much recently, for this I apologize. I won't try to offer a flimsy excuse, it wasn't a priority for me.
Speaking of priority, tonight we have an Annual General Meeting (AGM). I'm curious as to how many people will show up. Is it a priority for them or will people take the approach that other people can go to these meetings, it's not my thing. I'll be honest, I take the general approach that if you don't make an attempt to come to these congregational meetings then you've lost your right to complain for the next six months...I hope that doesn't sound harsh...or maybe I do :)
I guess it comes down to priorities. These days it seems that the church is not a priority, it's somewhere down the list of "things I'm involved in." I'm not sure if that's a commentary on our society, our people or on the church. But I do think we need to be challenged in our priorities. Tonight I will be showing two short video clips in my ministry report to help our discussion. Here's One of Them.
I think if this is a priority, lot's of other things will follow...maybe even more regular blogging, journaling and reflecting.
