BULLETINS
Our club meetings are on the second Thursday of each month, so next meeting will be held on January 8th, 2009, at the Search & Rescue / Emergency Ops Centre.
The address is 3001 Moray Ave., but perhaps more importantly, here are directions and the parking info. Go to Wal-Mart, get yourself off the end of the building that has the tire shop and park well away from the building. Walk toward the road that enters the north side of the parking lot (this is Moray Ave). You'll see that SAR/EOC is the first building on that road, on the left hand side.
The club meeting starts at 7 pm. We'll have a short lesson on radio protocol and the use of phonetics, and then we'll switch to radio programming, show & tell (it is right after Christmas after all), and then a bit of a swap meet (that's right, bring any gear that you're willing to part with). Neal will also bring a 12 volt power source (for those who are programming mobiles) and equipment for checking the Standing Wave Ratio (SWR) so you can make sure that your antenna and mobile radio have a good match.
