The Poetry of Daniel Harrison

Doctor Tomorrow

Doctor tomorrow what's the word what can you say
You make it easy you find out the news each day
You listen in you know you've got the right
To fiddle with antennas in the night

Doctor tomorrow are you intercepting Rome
Is there a fiber-optic feed into your home
Like beacons in the information age
With lasers scanning up and down the page

I really must believe it all
Believe it all
I must believe you know it all

Doctor tomorrow's lecturing down in L.A.
Some local businessmen have hired him to say
Products that are powerful and sleek
Arriving on our shores in just a week

Doctor tomorrow is there nothing we can do
To save the world from guys with nothing else to do
Than spy on us from somewhere out of sight
And spread it all around by satellite
