The AVSA is a non-profit organization committed to promoting the sport of soaring in sailplanes on Vancouver Island.  We offer a relaxed atmosphere and the camaraderie of a small group of enthusiastic individuals.   The Alberni Valley is located in the midst of Vancouver Island's Beaufort mountain range, offering excellent local flying and opportunities for longer cross-country flights.

AVSA operates a PW-5 single-seat glider. Tows are provided by Vancouver Island Soaring Centre.
