For Sale - Dash 34 "Optical Illusion"

Cow Bay

$35,000 Canadian (or $29,000 USD)

This boat is offered for sale for the first time since 1982. You can sail it as is at PHRF-NW 110 or convert it to a turbo-Dash rating somewhere between 80 and 100 by changing the rudder, adding a fat-head main and reducing the weight.

This boat has probably the most comfortable interior of all the Dashes. The interior has been modified, reducing the size of one berth to make the interior wider and adding a storage cupboard. A fill-in cushion has been added to the v-berth making it very comfortable for two people to sleep. All cushions were replaced in 2003. There is standing head-room and a head-liner through most of the cabin. A drop-leaf table, swing-up companionway stairs and easy-access storage under the cockpit make cruising easier. There is a stainless steel boarding ladder for swimming.

This boat has been actively raced and cruised for the last 25 years, and maintained just as actively. The boat is being sold as my wife and I have decided to focus more on cruising and want to get a boat with more interior volume to suit those wet Pacific Northwest days that extended cruising involves here.
