Heading west from Golden the Trans Canada takes you along a very narrow two lane road cut into the side of the mountain. It is about 40 km of serious twisties climbing a 6 to 8% grade, with serious consequences if you over shoot a turn. So Don't.

Unfortunately there are always slow moving vehicles to deal with.  Today I got lucky and managed to get by all the big rigs before I hit the twisties.

What a Blast!!!!

I stopped and took two quick pictures before the slugs caught up to me.

After the exhilarating run through the twisties and a more sedate ride through the BC side of the Rockies I spotted a Lodge that looked like a good spot for a bite to eat, but since it is not tourist season it was closed and I left hungry.

If I can't eat I'll snap a few more pictures
