Considering all the traffic on the Trans Canada, Kananaskis was pleasantly devoid of cars and trucks. Lots of Bikes out today though, but right now the road belonged to the Antique Virago
I did see two herds of deer and one elk. All of them had that "I'll gladly trade my life for yours" look in their eyes.
One herd was real spooky on the side of the road. I was behind two cars who slowed down either to gawk at them or to avoid hitting them. After the cars passed the deer were jumping back and forth and ready to take off in any direction. I had slowed to less than ten MPH by this time and was ready for the worst, but they all ran back into the trees.
It is amazing how quickly they disappear from sight once in the trees.
Sorry no pictures of the wildlife. I just wanted to get far away from them.
