It contains dog-friendly music and spoken-word material read by voice actors. Great, but what about our separation anxiety? Where's that reassuring spoken-bark CD with, you know, soothing sounds only dog owners can hear?

Dog CD "Soothing Stories And Music For The Solo Dog" offers a companionship-alternative if you have to dash and briefly leave Scruffy behind. The gentle human voices coupled with music from Bach, Mozart, and Chopin in "Soothing Stories And Music For The Solo Dog" beats your old K-Tel compilations any day.

"Soothing Stories" took me back to the little records I once spun on my 1970's FisherPrice player: chock-full of lessons and insights read by adults trying to sound like young people, - or- in this case- puppies. Truth be told, it was almost freaky listening to a first-person narrative of what it's like to be a dog. There were times I looked down at Nelly crashed by the speakers and I could have sworn she was thinking: "Isn't it nice we are finally communicating, Mom?".
