Lunar Eclipse February 20, 2008
Mr. Hanlon has been taking and printing photographs for over 25 years.
Featured are his photos of the total lunar eclipse on February 20, 2008.
His work has been displayed in galleries thoughout the West including a solo show in Peace Gallery North in Fort St. John, BC in April 2002. He recently presented a multimedia showcase of his
pictures to the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada at the HR MacMillan Planetarium in Vancouver.
He has perfected timed exposure and light-painting techniques that are ideally suited to low light
and nighttime photography.
Captured on film in northern British Columbia from 1995 through the present, the subject of the current series
is the Aurora Borealis.
