Fresh Water and Hornby Island

Hornby strongly promotes water conservation.  Virtually all fresh water available to residents and visitors alike, is from Hornby’s own watershed.  Since our watershed is the island itself (the accumulation of annual rainfall that makes its way into our bedrock), the summer months when rain is scarce, can put a serious strain on our diminishing wells.

Please use care when using all fresh water.
