The new DAT and DVC tapes are located on the bottom shelf behind the door. (Make sure you get the FORMATTED, 120 min tape for the DA-88, the 60's are the same color so watch out, I had one run out on me because of this because I was recording the worship service as well, so when it came time for the sermon, it just ran out.....OH NO!!!!!) NOTE: these are actually HI-8 tapes that also can be used for video in a HI-8 video camera. But if they are used for video, they cannot be inserted into the DA-88 and used for audio.
The top shelves of this storage area behind the door are for the Master recordings that are labeled and numbered according to the date. So if the "APPLESEED" calls up and asks for a particular run on a certain tape, you can get it from there. These are of better quality. Check to see if there is any left over labels, and do the run. The tapes are rushed out to the "APPLESEED" quickly so they can sell them. You need to keep track of the numbers you give them for in house billing. (See the Clipboard located on the tape duplicator)
OH...Speaking of labels.... DON'T use the labels that are left over from the Cassette tapes, these don't come off easy, use the little labels that are MEANT for that purpose, that are in the drawer beside the camera controller!
The reason Worship tapes are not sold, is because of copyright laws.... very complicated.!!! But occasionally someone from the team will want a copy, so usually one is done sometime on the weekend.
