The small video monitor under the DVC Pro PLAYER is its monitor, and shows whatever is currently playing on the DVC PRO. i.e. Usually DIGITAL-JUICE. (Or a video played out to the audience).
Juice is made to last 2 hours. They are stored on the wall above the desk.
Note: The DVC PRO Player and DVC Recorder are, referred to in this fashion to separate their function. (By the way the DVC Pro recorder is a $30,000 machine, whereas the DVC Pro player is only $8,000.)

DIGITAL JUICE is made up on the video editor beforehand, and is a loop of an effect that is canned. (This has to be created by the video Editor). The Juice is made up and started before the service and is switched to, whenever......i.e....between stuff that is happening, like PowerPoint etc.
You have to rewind JUICE in between services.
It seems that the people in the 0900 am service get a bit queasy when this is on. HMMM!
When you switch the worship team, make your dissolves SlooooW, so it gives a neat effect on screen. If the camera shots are set up on the opposite sides of the screen, you get a temporary twin effect...looks cool.
You could set up different cameras on each side, with the side by side effect, and put that out to the screen, but the cameramen have to realize that is what is happening, and not try to readjust their shot while it is up. This can also be used in the preset monitor to calibrate the colors and white balance of two cameras.
Someday you might have to use this recorder to record from the Satellite...but I doubt it...(Due to copyright)....but IF you do, you can use this recorder. You have to go around behind and run a cable from the S-video out of the Satellite, into the S-Video IN of this recorder. Run the audio cables similarly.
Program, Preview & PowerPoint Switch
Above the switcher, is the PROGRAM (PGM) (Left) and PREVIEW (Right) monitors. What is on the PROGRAM is what is being sent out to the Audience. (This has to be turned on from upstairs)....so be careful that what you are playing with is not Really LIVE. They usually call you and tell you when they make it LIVE.
There is a PowerPoint monitor to the right of the preview monitor, and enables you to see what the computer sees upstairs. There is a person running this show upstairs. (I HOPE!)
There is a SCN/PGM switch located above the PowerPoint monitor. This switch is to be on SCN when the singers are singing, to act as a teleprompter. It shows what the PowerPoint shows, so when the words are up for the songs, they can read them. Set the switch on PGM when Henry is speaking, this shuts off PowerPoint and shows the program monitor.
