Modular Stock Chassis System
QuadGun © concept:
The concept of a short folding stock rifle called the “Quad Gun”, came about as a result of a few accidents and near misses…while hunting on an ATV or “Quad”.
Traditonal methods of carrying a rifle is a Plastic Scabbord mounted on the right hand side, fastened to the rear carrying rack and protruding down to the foot rest. Other methods are a handle bar or front rack mounting system where the rifle is sticking both out of the left side and the right side of the Quad, or carrying the rifle in it’s case strapped down on either the rear or front rack.
Another popular method of carrying is slinging the rifle across one’s back or front… hanging in the way of any movement needed to control your machine and of course banging on the trees when navigating down a cutline or bush trail.
All of these conventional methods are available but in retrospect are dangerous and an accident waiting to happen, and many accidents that do happen.
Ever roll your Quad….with the side mounted Scabbord… what breaks first..your leg because you got hung up trying to jump off….or the scabbard then the gun???? Or with the gun mounted crossways on the front or rear rack…going through some narrow paths between a few trees and the butt of the rifle hangs up on one side against a tree and damages your favorite rifle???
Another big issue… most hunting rifles do not have magazines that hold enough ammo, jump off your Quad.. take a shot..leaves 2 more in the standard mag… run into the bush after the animal and fire another shot…and suddenly remember my extra ammo is in my bag on the Quad and I almost out ..if that thing jumps up to run again and so on.
Secondly but most importantly… no removable magazine in MANY MANY instances accidently leaving a live bullet in the barrel trying to get the ammo out of the gun before getting in a vehicle or on the ATV. Not quite a serious but still an issue… dropping a fresh bullet in the snow or mud trying to get them out of the built in magazine.
Points made….Bad experiences dictate change needed…. Result… QuadGun with folding stock that fits on the front or rear rack in it’s own zip up bag, shorter when folded if you do need to carry it on a sling if you are riding your sled.. and 10 round mag …. Lots of ammo right with you…not in the bag on the quad.
Conclusion: A well designed folding stock rifle is certainly more expensive than a traditional rifle, but how much is a broken gun worth, how much is a broken leg worth, how much is an accident because you left a live round in the chamber trying to get all those bullets out of a built in mag box. An how much is a screwed up shot worth because your gun was banged against a couple of trees and threw the scope off enough that you couldn’t hit anything.
Just as costly… had to terminate the hunting trip early because you broke the stock off your gun on the last hill you rolled sideways..???
For Tactical work… these same units can be custom barreled in 308 Win. threaded for a Suppressor, and the forearm supplied with a picitanny rail to mountNight Sighting Device.
The folding stock will allow Tac Teams to more easily conceal the shortened unit so as not to alarm the surrounding public if a Team Member has to covertly get into position in a public situation.
Will be prototyping a 300 and a 338 Whisper in the near future.
Units can be painted with the official Multi-Cam and Desert Cam colors as well as a Urban camo.. to match the particular clothing being used by different teams for different operations.
Paint jobs can be standard or Digital.
So … check out our units… want to see one … try one … send us an email.
