MINISTRIES & PROGRAMS

resources

    • Small Groups

Small Groups are the primary way we stay connected to God’s word, apart from Sunday morning worship. There are three Lifelight Bible Studies, which are in-depth studies, usually based upon a single book of the Bible. In addition to Life-light, there are two alternative small group Bible studies, and a moms and tots study which meets at the church on Thursday mornings. Let us help you find the group that fits you best!

Lutheran Women’s Missionary League is an auxillliary group that supports missionary activity around the world through programs like the Mite Box offerings. Grace’s LWML group is always looking for new members and values your support and involvement.

Men’s Breakfast Club meets on the first Saturday of the month through the fall and winter months. Come out for a large farmer-style breakfast, a devotion, and the mutual support and encouragement that a group of men can give each other.

    • Sunday School

Sunday School. The hour before church is the time we invite all children in Kindergarten and older to join us for Sunday School. Come and sing the songs, make the crafts, and learn the Bible stories that make us grow as children of God!

    • Youth Bible Studies

Also happening in the hour or so before Sunday morning worship, Youth Bible studies are an opportunity for young people between the ages of 11 and 18 to read, discuss, and listen to a message which impacts them in a powerful way. This group often makes use of audiovisual resources as a catalyst for spiritual discussion.

    • Vacation Bible School
For children in Kindergarten to Grade 6. Each year is a different theme, based on Christ-centered Vacation Bible School material. There are songs, puppets, crafts and lessons beginning at 1:00 pm till 4:00 pm.
    • F.R.O.G. Youth Group                                                                                                                                                             This is an interdenominational group with participants from several churches in the Drumheller area, including (but not limited to) Grace Lutheran, Fellowship Baptist, Knox United, Drumheller Church of the Nazarene, Elim Pentecostal Tabernacle, Rosebud Community Church, Drumheller Vineyard Fellowship, and others. FROG is awesome. Come check us out!
    • Confirmation Classes

The confirmation program at Grace follows a two or three year curriculum schedule, depending on the students’ abilities and needs. This program is open to all children 11 and up, but most confirmands begin their studies when they are either 11 or 12. Confirmation is traditionally the church’s most formal period of instruction, and completion qualifies the individual for full communicant membership. Pastor Curtis teaches most of the confirmation lessons, and he welcomes your questions.

    • Congregational Retreat

Every November, the congregation retreats to beautiful Camp Kuriakos on the shores of Sylvan Lake for a family and youth retreat. This is a special time of fellowship, relationship building, and spiritual growth as we enjoy God’s creation and each other’s company. The FROG youth group also usually attends this retreat, and separate programming is available.
