IT'S ABOUT FUCKING TIME

Believe it or not, motherfuckers, the new CD is here! This shit will tear your fucking colon out, and possibly get you arrested for being a terrorist just for having it in your possession. Righteous. Maybe I'm so hyped because I didn't expect it to be nearly this intense. Get it, love it, hate it, I don't give a fuck.

Also on the believe it or not front, we are playing our first and possibly last bar show. January 29th for the Jay Brown Memorial Show, at Logan's. I still miss him, and he is not forgotten by a long shot. But don't look for us to be playing any other bar shows anytime in the future. Bars stink, drunks are fucking idiots, and there is nothing rebellious about acting like a fucking frat boy with your moronic "bros". George Dubya was doing the same shit back in his day. Fuck it. Also, look for us on Feb.1st at the Victoria Event Centre with Outbreak!! Now that's more like it. All ages. Keep your shitty attitudes outside, please.

HAITI

As if those poor people in Haiti didn't have enough problems, now this earthquake totally tears the place down. This is one of the most impoverished places on the planet, and even though I don't trust the majority of these "aid organizations", give if you can. I will.

The thing that gets me is the false sympathy that PM Fucking Harper has put on in public. Since when do any of the wealthy nations give a fuck about Haiti? What are their interests in this tiny country? And why do the u.s.a. and canada go on and on about Cuba being so poverty stricken and repressive, when Haiti has it beat by miles? Is it because Haiti is an "ally", and Cuba speaks out about american tyranny? Maybe. The truth always comes out eventually, but it may take a while. Stay tuned to www.revcom.us. They always have the straight dope.

DEAD COPS, PROTESTS, REVOLUTION.

The years 2009 and 2010 have certainly seen their share of chaos and contradiction. Cops being shot down in the land of freedom, heavy handed clampdowns in b.c. over the fucking olympics, and mass protests in Nepal with a continuing rise in revolutionary activity in India and Peru. These things are all interconnected. The bourgeoisie do not care about us, no matter what the official rhetoric is. Cops get killed because people get fed up and lose control, because all of their (real and false) options have been exhausted, and they are tired of being pushed around with no recourse to any form of justice. This shit will keep happening, and possibly take on a more organized form, as it has in India. The central government in India is still saying that the Maoists there are the biggest threat to their state. Once again, that's because poverty is not being addressed, the caste system is only being given lipservice to being eradicated, and women are third class citizens. It's no wonder that so many women are joining the guerrillas, and fighting back with the force of arms, and not some lame useless elections and petitions.

The olympics are almost here, and with them, a media frenzy about "being good hosts to our visitors", and other fucking nonsense. It's even illegal to put signs up in the windows of your own home denouncing the fucking games!! Now what the fuck is that? Police spies and agents are everywhere, trying to get people to do stupid things and get arrested, all the while talking about "al-qaeda"! Holy shit, what crap. People are dying in the streets, surgeries are being cancelled, the health authority is cutting 45 million dollars from their budget, and we get games. Fucking games. Bread and circuses for the masses to keep them distracted and happy. Make the pigs earn their fucking money.

That's it for now. Come see us.Goodbye.

January 27th, 2010

Just a heads up: We have had to pull out of the show on Monday, February 1st due to the fact that Jamie (our drummer) has to get surgery for a knee injury. It may be Monday night or Tuesday night but he won't know til day of surgery. So instead of waiting til the last moment we decided to give the promoters time to find another band.

It sucks because we were all looking forward to playing our firsrt all ages show in 10 months.
Boo.

We'll still be at the show having fun and I swear we'll get another show together very soon.

January 14th, 2010

Happy New Year.
Well, it's been a long haul but the new record is done and it is easily the best thing we've ever done, in my opinion.

The bed tracks were recorded in Vancouver at a place called The Factory and you'll be happy to know that Tony stood in the same spot to do his vocals that Jon Bon Jovi did while laying down the tracks for "Livin' On A Prayer"! Cool.
Overdubs were done over the summer of 2009 with David Carswell of JC/DC studios all the credit goes to Dave for doing everything he could to maximize every aspect of our performance.

If you want a copy, click the link above for shipping info etc. or email us directly: info@akfortyseven.net

We have 2 shows coming up-one at the end of January the other on the first MOnday in february. Check out the Live page to see all the details.

We are hopefully going to try and get out of Victoria for a few shows this year as well so watch for that.

Now that new stuff is out I am revamping the website so be patient with its ongoing betterment.
Thanks.
It's good to be back.
