Precision Data Services was created in 1994 to provide affordable, easy-to-use turf management software for all Turfgrass Managers, regardless of their budget and computer knowledge. That program is Turf Log. Originally written in 1989 by a Golf Course Superintendent for his own use, his peers quickly requested that the program be made available to them. Over the years, several updates were made, many of them incorporating requests from our customers. To this day, consideration is still given to all suggestions, and incorporated into the programs when deemed beneficial. In 2000, he became aware of the fact that many Turfgrass Managers have difficulty with some of the complicated calculations, such as conversions, calibrations, how to measure areas, etc... As a result, he wrote "Golf Course Math", which is designed to not only do the calculations, but also explain how they are done. Both programs are extremely useful tools for anyone involved in the maintenance of turfgrass, and are easy to use and very affordable. There are no additional costs such as annual service charges. As the Superintendent changed courses, he built websites for each golf course. This quickly evolved to creating websites for other businesses as well, and still continues to grow.
