N.Vancouver B.C. Sept. 2009. Notice the regatta committee in the middle
of the pond, charting the navigable channels for the upcoming Fall Sailpast.

of the Steam-boat flown in by Commodore Harry especially for
the occasion:

The Launching of the First Steam Boat on Wagg Creek proceeded as
planned and as Steam Powered Things are wont to do, the first firing of
the boiler was less than successful calling for the jibes of spectators such
as "That's not a real steam boat" from Vice Commodore Mike. The boiler
was finally fired up and the first voyage under steam on Wagg Creek Pond
was completed on September 23, 2009 18:45

The first ever regatta was conducted on Wagg Creek Pond
to the delight of participants and onlookers alike. In spite of
a small turnout, a wide array of vessels was represented from
Steam to Wind powered.
