"Helping people find out things about insects is a great deal of fun for me.

All one needs to do is to get a person to stop and look, really look and then the power of insects takes over.

Their colorful patterns, interesting behaviors and a different story for each of the more than a million species out there almost always triggers responses in people of all ages.

Wonder, awe and curiosity lead to whys and hows .. .leaning moments come up faster than you can ever plan for as minds are intrigued and engaged by the six legged forms of life with whom we share this planet.

That is why I study insects and teach courses about them."
