Folks
I
have temporarily suspend my regular web site on "How to Connect to
Freeconferencing.com Conference Calls By Long Distance and By Skype".
Why? Both
from my personal experience and experiences shared by others that there
is a connectivity issue when calling into Freeconferencing.com Skype
contact names "freeconferencing.7124320075" and
"freeconferencing.com". Calls get dropped on a frequent but
intermittant basis. In addition, however on a less frequent basis, it
would appear that callers calling in via long distance to
712-432-0075 have been affected too ( I have call records of a march
8th conference call)!
Over the past two weeks I have contacted
both Skype and Freeconferencing.com via email (yes...I kept my copies).
Skype has not returned my emails. Freeconferencing.com suggested
that I try their "NEW" backdoor telephone number. It is 805-360-1075
and is located in Los Alamos CA. It worked perfectly on my March 6th
conference call. Freeconferencing.com has not replied to my follow up emails.
Recent History On
March 8 there was a 3 hour conference call (I have the call records).
It would appear that Skype to Skype participants were most affected but
so too were those who connected via long distance.
How to Connect to freeconferencing.com Hosted Conference Calls
Skype' FREE Skype to Skype Service calling contact names freeconferencing.7124320075 & freeconferencing.com - always worth the try but be prepared for frequent and intermittant drop outs until the drop out issue is resolved.
Calling Long Distance to 712-432-0075 - it is worth the effort if your long distance service provider does not out right block the call else be prepared to pay semi-premium or premium long distance rates.
Calling Long Distance to "The Backdoor Number" 805-360-1075
- from test I did last weekend with a number of participants and from
my personal experience (March 6) this number seems to work well. As I
just recently recived my phone bill, I am not certain if my service
provider charged me 4 cents per minute or the semi preium rate of 20
cents per minute.
If you run into connectivity probelms....such as your call being dropped.... May I respectfully suggest that you
In
closing, the only way we will get a resolution to the current frequent
but intermittant call dropout problem is to let the two service
providers know what is happening. if you do not feel comfortable with contavting either of these parties send me an email at jgow@telus.net and i will do my best.
