Piquet of Knights isn’t a game in itself, rather the interface between two different games, Piquet's Band of Brothers 2 and Chipco’s Days of Knights. You will need a copy of both games if the following is to make any sense to you.
This is very much a work in progress, and changes will be made as it develops.
Before the battle begins roll on the Leader Quality Table (see section 5.1 of Band of Brothers 2) with a d20 to determine the army command rating of each army.
Command Indecision and Brilliant Commander are added as per the table in that section.
Sequence Card Definitions (all actions costs 1 PIP)
Each army is given stored PIPs with which to spend on opportunity fire (usually three). A PIP may be spent to fire a unit during the other player's initiative if:
The sequence of play follows that outlined in the Piquet Master Rules. It costs 1 PIP to flip a card, and one PIP to perform an action under it.
Units in full contact are not considered engaged until someone uses a PIP to initiate melee. As such, missile units may fire at enemy units that they are in full contact with up until actual combat is initiated. It is best to use markers to show units that are engaged in combat as opposed to those who are just in contact.
