Obituary: Vancouver Sun, December 23, 2002
BOSANAC - Eva, born December 24, 1917 in Croatia, passed away peacefully, December 19, 2002. Guided by her "guardian Angel" for the joyful reunion with her son Rudy, parents, brothers, sister and many friends. She gently crossed over with her family at her bedside. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Mirko; daughter Anne (Ted); son, Carl (Raelond); daughter-in-law, Karen; grandchildren, Debbie (Rick), Rob (Julie), Chris, Teri, Ken (Simone) and Brodie; great-grandchildren, Jamie, Alex, Jake, Sydney, Sabrina and Harrison, her sister, Theresa as well as many other relatives and friends. A great mom, special 'Babi', loyal friend, a heart of gold who will never be forgotten. Prayers will be offered at 7:00 pm, Thursday, December 26, 2002 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Church, 3105 E. lst Avenue, Vancouver, BC with the Funeral Mass following at l0:00 am, Friday, December 27, 2002. Entombment will follow at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eva's memory may be made to the B.C. Kidney Foundation. |

BOSANAC Miroslav (Mirko), Was born in Tomasica, Croatia on June 10, 1914, passed away in his 95th year after a short illness in Vancouver, B.C. on April 17th, 2009. Predeceased in 2002 by by his wife of 65 years Eva, and in 1999 by his son Rudy. Mirko will be remembered by his Croatian speaking friends and family for his sense of humor and his good nature. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Ann Merkl (Ted), daughter-in-law Karen, and son Carl (Raelond), grandchildren Debbie (Rick), Rob (Julie), Ken (Simone), Chris, Terri, Aaron (Katherine), Marques and Brodie, great-grandchildren Jamie, Alex, Jake, Quinn, Sydney, Sabrina and Harrison. Mirko leaves behind many nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbors in Canada as well as in Croatia. Prayers will be held 7:00 pm, Wednesday, April 22nd at Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond, B.C. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, April 23rd at Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Church, 3105 E. 1st Avenue, Vancouver, B.C. Entombment will follow at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, B.C. The family would like to thank all doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Vincent's Langara for taking such good care of Mirko during his stay there. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the B.C. Kidney Foundation or a charity of your choice.

BOSANAC - Rudolph "Rudy", passed away suddenly at 5:45 am on January 11, 1999 in Surrey, B.C. at age 56. A talented artist, Rudy is survived by his wife and best friend, Karen, their children, Chris and Terri, his father and mother, Mark and Eva, his sister Anne (Ted), brother Carl (Raelond), his father-in-law, Joseph Keighly (Thelma), brothers-in-law, Jeff (Jill), Joe (Laura), aunts and uncles and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Rudy will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Rudy's life will be held at the Valley View Funeral Home, 14660-72nd Ave., Surrey, B.C. on Friday, January 15th, 1999 at 10:30 am. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation. |
