Obituary: The Vancouver Sun, February 7, 2006
ESTEREICHER - George, born in Sokolovac, Croatia March 15, 1929, passed away peacefully February 4, 2006 at Vancouver General Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. George will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Regina, daughters Diane, Rosemary (Dan) Hunter and his cherished grandchildren Brent, Christine and Kyle. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church, 4851 Beatrice Street, Vancouver (32nd & Beatrice) at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 9, 2006. Father Benno Burghardt celebrant. Interment will follow at Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of George Estereicher would be appreciated.
