KICHLER, John David – passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, on Wednesday, February 7th, 2007, in his 80th year. Beloved husband and best friend of 54 + years to Agatha Kichler (nee Lewang) of Simcoe. Loving father and grandfather of Rick Kichler and his wife Chris of Simcoe, their children David and Emily; Lin Kichler Rowsell and her husband Craig of Ottawa, their children Bronwyn and Claire; Bob Kichler and his wife Jan of Simcoe, their children Ryan (Ginie), Leah and Kyle; Cindy Bergen and her husband Dan of Simcoe, their daughter Michelle. John will be sadly missed by his sister Eva Bedesky of Welland, and Agatha’s sisters Barbara Hahn and Rosie Shaman (Tony), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Katie (1999) and Steve Szucz, and brothers Frank (2005) and Pauline, Joseph (2000) and Mary, as well as a brother-in-law Tony Bedesky. Friends are invited to share their memories of John with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North, Simcoe, for visitation on Friday, February 9th, 2007, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Parish prayers will be said Friday evening at 6:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at ST. MARY’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, (corner of Queen and Union St.), on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Father Brian Klooster celebrant. Rite of Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.
