| DEUTSCH John Joseph February 4, 1955 January 8, 2008 After a courageous 9 year battle with cancer, John passed away surrounded by his beloved family at Vancouver General Hospital on January 8, 2008. John is survived by his wife, Kim Deutsch, children, Tanya and Matthew Deutsch, and parents, John and Eva Deutsch. He also leaves behind his aunt and uncle, Joe and Tina Deutsch, as well as his cousins Tom and Rob Deutsch and their families. John was born in Pakrac, Croatia. In 1957 his family moved to Germany before immigrating to Canada in 1960. John was a devoted, caring husband, father, son, and friend to all who knew him. He demonstrated incredible strength throughout the duration of his illness. His kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. His honesty and integrity lead him to be a successful and respected businessman in the manufacturing industry and he spent the last 20 years as Director of Finance and Administration at Teleflex Canada in Richmond. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Prayers will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 4451 Williams Road, Richmond on Wednesday, January 16 at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day, Thursday, January 17 at 11:00 a.m. also at St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Richmond. Following the mass a Celebration of Life will be held at the Richmond Funeral Home located at 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond.
