Obituary: Indianapolis Star, April 9, 2007
Robert S. Kichler 85, Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2007 at his residence. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in W.W. II as a Combat Field Medic, receiving the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for heroic and meritorious achievement. Mr. Kichler was a pharmacist and owned Community Drug Store and Kichler Pharmacy in Lawrence, then retired from Hooks Drugs. He was a member of Lawrence United Methodist Church. Mr. Kichler is survived by his wife, Pauline Kichler; sons, Doug, Mark and Eric Kichler; daughter, Julie Walker; and eight grandchildren. Friends may call at Flanner Buchanan Funeral Center-Lawrence on Thursday, April 12, 2007 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Lawrence United Methodist Church on Friday, April 13, 2007 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
