Dragon Hearts Beat is a recreational team. Our goal is to have fun, but also work hard together as a team and compete at major dragon boat festivals in B.C. We practice 1-2 times a week on the waters of False Creek. Outside dragon boat, we get together for activities such as hiking the Grouse Grind, blueberry picking, karaoke singing, watching movies, and eating out.

In 2008, DH Beat won Gold in the Recreation E Division at the Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival, and Bronze in the Silver Division at the Kelowna Dragon Boat Festival. We will be striving to compete in the Recreational C Division at the 2009 Rio Tinto Alcan DB Festival.

The requirement for our paddlers is to be able to attend practice 2 times a week. If this sounds like the team you are looking for, feel free to contact us. We welcome new paddlers of all levels, ages, sexes, and physical shapes and sizes!
