Tom Cox is a veteran film and television producer whose work spans 15 years and many different genres including feature films, dramatic series, television movies, and documentaries. Tom is a producer on the CBC Television series, Tom Stone. In 2000, Tom produced After the Harvest; a television movie ( CTV ) and Dream Storm: A North of 60 Mystery Movie (CBC Television) with partner Doug MacLeod. In 1999, Tom produced the television movie Bad Faith with producing partner and director Randy Bradshaw. In addition he produced On the Edge: The Nature of Risk; a documentary special for the Discovery Channel, and Trial by Fire, the second television movie based on the highly successful North of 60 characters and concept. These productions followed the highly rated 1998 production of In the Blue Ground, based on the North of 60 series. From 1992 through 1997, along with partner Doug MacLeod, Tom produced 90 one-hour episodes of the Gemini Award-winning North of 60 series. In 1990 and 1991, Tom produced two seasons of the Cable Ace Award-winning series Ray Bradbury Theater along with partners Randy Bradshaw and Doug MacLeod. Tom is the past chairman of the National Screen Institute’s Board of Directors and a contributing author to the revised "bible" of Canadian film and television production entitled "Making It".
